We Need Your Help! POWTC FUNDrive

We’re kicking off our first Fundraiser for Paving Our Way to Christ on Sunday, May 20th. You’re are invited to donate gently used clothing items, bedding, towels and shoes to help raise funds to pave the parking lot. These items will be sold to Savers, a thrift retailer, who will pay us for every qualifying donation received.

The drive will begin Sunday, May 20th and run through Sunday, June 10th.

It’s time once again to sign up for Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” and will take place Monday through Friday, July 16-20, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children from age 3 to entering 5th grade are eligible to attend. Older children may volunteer to help out with the program (which is just as much fun!). Sign up sheets are available on the table outside the church office or can be downloaded under "Attachments" below.

Join us as we celebrate women at our annual Mother Daughter Banquet.  This year we'll be traveling to the tropics with a delicious tropical inspired dinner and dessert, silent auction and entertainment.


$12 for adults; $6 for children ages 12 and under.

Bring a dish to share and your own table service. After lunch, Dr. Kathy Weber will talk about her recent trip to Africa with the Africa Ministry Crusade. Kathy is a friend of Jacquee Lawrence and has some interesting stories to tell.

Plan to arrive between 11:30 and noon. We will eat at noon.

May 20th will be the last day for children's Sunday School for the summer. During the summer worship service, children ages 5 through 5th grade will go to the Sunday School annex for a 30-40 minute lesson and activity time.

An adult teacher will lead the lesson accompanied by youth assistants. We are looking for adults interested in leading this special children’s time. Lessons will be planned and materials prepared for you. All you have to do is lead!

Bethany's hard-working women’s group, the Dorcas Circle, will meet on Wednesday, April 18, at 12 p.m. in the Narthex. Come along and have some good fellowship with this great group of ladies! All women of the congregation are invited to attend.

Do you need a good preschool?  Blessed Beginnings offers preschool programs for children ages 2 and up.  Children do not need to be potty trained to attend.  For information or to take a tour of the school, please contact Kim Reina.  

Good Friday Service, March 30 at 7:00pm

This service testifies to the mighty power of Jesus’ death on the Cross, remembering that Jesus defeated death and set us free. This year, the Bethany confirmation class 2018 will help a congregation to understand the events that occurred during the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. You are invited to see significance of Christ’s suffering and death and reflect upon the meaning of these event of your life.

The 179th Northern Illinois Annual Conference will be held June 3-5 at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL. The theme is "Navigating Uncharted Waters" with a focus on Romans 5:3b-4: "trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope." Check out the flyer on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Online registration opens April 2 (Easter Monday). The cost is $80.

There will be no children’s Sunday School on Sunday, March 25. There will be a group activity on Easter Sunday, April 1st.
