During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, access to Holy Communion has been very limited. Even though BFVUMC acknowledges that online communion can be still sacramental, many of you may miss terribly the physical presence of church members incorporated in the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Pastor Sam is now on duty to deliver the non-anxious and prayerful presence of God with a pre-packed communion element (Wafer and Juice) to all families of BFVUMC. If you and your whole family…

As gathering restrictions continue to be followed, Bethany keeps working to make our in-person worship services as safe as possible. Since it has been reported that singing could spread the coronavirus, Bethany has decided to extend asking volunteers to provide special music through the end of the year. Those providing music can either do so directly during the live service on Sunday morning, or it can be sent to the church office as a recorded performance. Please contact the church office…

There will be no food served at these meetings.  Groups may continue to meet via Zoom or a combination of both. Groups will be able to meet at…

BFVUMC is happy to announce that we will begin in-person worship on Sunday, August 2nd. The Events Committee is sad to state that the Mother/Daughter Banquet scheduled for May 2, 2020 has been postponed due to COVID19.  We thank all those who were working with us to make this year's banquet another successful event.  We hope and pray we can all be together again soon, but will abide by the laws and rules of distancing to keep everyone safe. Stay in touch with each other via phone, letters, social medias, etc.  And please..wash your hands!

No one should go hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic. With school closures, job disruptions, and health risks, many people in our communities have been turning to the food pantry for much-needed support. To support people facing hunger, the pastor’s discretionary fund will be mainly used as the COVID-19 Response Fund. For every $1 donated, the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry will provide $7 worth of food.

If you want to donate for this matter, you can send a check with “Aurora…

Easter is not cancelled! The days are becoming longer, the snow is gone, the sun is bringing new warmth, and the birds are singing. It is truly the beautiful season of spring that I have been looking forward to with all my heart. However, the order of Shelter in Place is now tentatively extended to April 30th. This means we can’t come together to remember the last supper with communion on Mandy Thursday. It means we can’t come together to remember that tragic night when…

The coronavirus is impacting our lives in every way from school, store, and library closings to social distancing, the new phrase of the year. In light of the CDC guidelines and in the best interests of the congregation, Bethany of Fox Valley will be closed through the end of March, and there will be no in-person worship services at the church on March 22nd and 29th. At that time, we will reevaluate the situation and determine our next steps.

The…

To the families of Bethany of Fox Valley UMC,

What about offerings? What about midweek activities like Dollar Dinner and Lenten Bible Study? Those questions are very valid and real regarding that the coronavirus causes suffering in real lives and…
