The long-awaited Special Session of the General Conference has finished its work. This special session was convened to decide our denomination’s stance on human sexuality. As you may already know, the delegates chose the Traditional Plan rather than the One Church Plan that was overwhelmingly supported by the Council of Bishops.
The One Church Plan would have given space for clergy, all churches (no matter what their stand on human sexuality), and annual conferences to be in ministry…
Pastoral Response on the Special Session of the General Conference 2019:
Dear ALL God's Beloved,
While delivering this news that the Traditional plan, which is a harmful and destructive option, was passed at the General Conference 2019, my heart is ashamed and broken for the United Methodist Church indeed. As a Pastor ordained in the United Methodist Church, I've never been ashamed of my ordination, but not at this moment when the General Conference has decided to strengthen…
