Announcements

1. EASTER FLOWERS- It’s time to place your order for flowers to help beautify our sanctuary this Easter. Order forms are in the narthex and must be returned by Sunday, March 15th.

2. DOLLAR DINNERS -The second of our weekly Lenten potluck dollar dinners is this Wednesday, March 4th at 6:00 pm. This week’s theme is Taco Night. Each week, a main dish and beverages will be provided. We ask everyone to bring a side dish or a dessert to share, an offering of one dollar per person, and your own table service. All are welcome- the more the merrier!!!  Please sign up on the bulletin board so we know how much food to prepare.

3. DORCAS CIRCLE- The Dorcas Circle will soon be preparing Easter baskets for the kids at Wayside Cross Ministries. To support these efforts, donations of individually wrapped and nut-free candy and/or $10 McDonald's gift cards are appreciated and  should be dropped off by March 8th. 
The next Dorcas Circle meeting will be on Wed., March 18th at 1:00 pm. Join us for some light refreshments, grace, and fellowship!

4. GEORGETOWN ELEMENTARY- The Missions team is collecting small prizes such as colored pens, slime squishies, etc. to support Georgetown’s Golden Feather award program, where children are awarded tickets for displaying attributes of  integrity, learning, responsibility, and respect. See the display in the breezeway and place donations in the bin through March 22nd. Thank you!!!

5. GREAT AGERS- Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at noon on March 13th  with the Great Agers.  We will be serving corned beef so bring your favorite side to share.  Then after lunch, we will be entertained by two lively, accomplished Irish musicians-Evelyn Thom will be on the fiddle and Liam Kantor will be strumming his guitar for a lively program guaranteed to get your toes tapping and your hands clapping.  Sign up in the narthex if you plan to attend.

6. COMBINED AD COUNCIL AND CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING- There will be a quarterly joint meeting on March 10th at 7:00 pm.  We are asking all committees to submit dates for all events through the end of 2026 to avoid conflicts on the church calendar. Include tentative dates if necessary and submit to the office before the meeting if you are unable to attend. Thank you.

7. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL- Save the date! We are so excited to announce that VBS will return this summer from June 15-19 for youth ages 6 (entering K in the fall) through 12 years old. Our theme will be Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God. More details soon to follow. We will be holding a planning meeting on Tuesday, March 10th at 4:30 pm. 8. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER-This is a global movement led by Christian women in Nigeria who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. This year’s theme is “I Will Give You Rest: Come” and will be held on March 6th. A prayer card and more information is available in the narthex.
